青木久美子

日本放送大学教授 Prof. Kumiko Aoki the OUJ

2004 年 1 月,青木博士回到日本,进入千叶国立多媒体教  育研究所(NIME),专注于研究高等教育信息通信技术融合。  曾在综合研究大学院大学(SOKENDAI)担任教职。2009 年 4 月, 国立多媒体教育研究所并入日本放送大学,后继续就职于日本
放送大学。青木博士近期的研究涉及元宇宙和人工智能技术的
创新应用,旨在丰富终身学习和全方位学习体验。
Dr. Kumiko Aoki, currently a Professor of Informatics at the Open University of Japan (OUJ), as well as the manager of the research unit leading projects concerning virtual learning commons and micro credentials. She has built a distinguished academic career blending education, communication, and information technology. She embarked on this path after earning her Ph.D. in Communication and Information Sciences from the University of Hawaii. Dr. Aoki’s early academic roles included serving as an Assistant Professor of Information Technology at Rochester Institute of Technology (1995-1998) and as an Assistant Professor of Communication at Boston University (1998-2003) . Upon her return to Japan in January 2004, Dr. Aoki joined the National Institute of Multimedia Education (NIME) in Chiba, where she focused on researching the integration of ICT in higher education. She also held a faculty position at the Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI) . Her journey continued as NIME merged into the Open University of Japan in April 2009. At OUJ, Dr. Aoki’s commitment to enhancing educational accessibility and effectiveness is evident. She advocates for open and flexible teaching and learning methodologies, harnessing the power of digital media, social informatics, and e-learning. A pioneer in online education, she has played a crucial role in advancing both asynchronous and synchronous learning modalities at OUJ. Dr. Aoki’s recent research delves into the innovative use of metaverse and AI technologies, aiming to enrich lifelong and life-wide learning experiences.
