马克·尼科尔斯，博士，国际开放与远程教育理事会（ICDE） 主席，同时担任新西兰开放理工学院执行主任，负责学习设计 与发展工作。研究方向为倡导开放与远程学习，开放与远程学 习运营模型设计、交付模式、学习设计及提升开放与远程学习 结果。主持 “在线学习领袖与传奇” 播客，担任多个国际期刊 编辑委员会成员。2025 年国际开放与远程教育理事会 (ICDE) 世 界大会将于 2025 年 11 月在新西兰惠灵顿举行，马克是本次会 议的联合主办方之一。
Dr. Mark Nichols is President of the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE), a responsibility he has alongside his work as Executive Director, Learning Design & Development with Open Polytechnic, New Zealand. Mark’s research includes advocacy for open and distance learning (ODL), operating model design for ODL, delivery models, learning design, and improving ODL outcomes. He hosts the podcast Leaders & Legends of Online Learning and is on several international journal editorial boards. Mark is also co-host for the 2025 ICDE World Conference to be held in Wellington, New Zealand in November 2025.
